It is hard to find words to convay my joy of what this picture holds. 65oz of breast milk and there is another 10oz upstairs.
For so many people this would not be a big deal. For me, it is cause for celebration! Breast feeding Grayson is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. I never gave up and I had wonderful help and support. My friend Brandie even gave me her extra milk supply since mine was barely making it on the days I didn't work. The days I did work he needed extra comfort, so a couple extra ounces each day made all the difference for my little man. My supply dried up by 9 months, I was grateful to make it that long with all of my struggles. So this...
This is beautiful, this is awesome, amazing, and a relief. So many things went wrong last time and everything has been so right this time. I learned that you produce the most milk between 1am-5am so every night after I feed her between 3am-5am I pump, and every night I store 2.5-4oz of milk.
She fell back to sleep while I pumped, I have one well fed baby who by 6weeks had gained 3lbs over her birth weight. Now when I go back to work next week, I know she will have plenty of milk at day care, making my day just a tiny bit easier and my heart lighter.
This over the years has been an off again on again journal for my family. For the moment it will be more about my home and all the renovations I've been doing.
