A fun little thing

  

So you May have noticed this little black bench hanging out in my closet while I worked on it. It is an old piano bench for an electric piano, and I have loved having it in my closet for the last few years.

While working on the closet it got some paint splatter on it, so I figured why not a little face lift?

 So I unscrewed the top from the bottom and spray painted the entire thing gold, then after letting it dry for a couple days I taped the design on the top off and rolled on some white. 

 After giving it tons of time to dry (seriously like a month) I realized I had made a mistake, the gold spray paint refused to fully dry on the seat portion, it was tacky and would come off on anything that touched it.  So finally I did a couple layers of polyurethane with light sanding in-between, and finally I have this little gem back in my closet and I love it!
